About
Heathcote Dementia Alliance (HDA) is a community values-based, not for profit charity made up of volunteers ranging from students to executive-level professionals. Based in the rural Victoria town of Heathcote, we have worked steadily since 2014 to improve the design and delivery of new dementia care services, with a focus on rural and regional solutions. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to age in place and we share a firm belief that community is the antidote to institutional care.
We work side by side with our local community at Heathcote to create a Dementia Friendly Community, where people living with dementia and their families are respected, included, valued, and safe.
Our mission
To improve the quality of life for those living with Dementia and their carers, and the opportunity to age in place without leaving their community.
To provide comprehensive and integrated healthcare solutions through research, innovation, and education.
