About

Care for people living with dementia requires a specific set of skills and knowledge. Research provides evidence for best practices to be used and implemented. The Futures Hub enables organisations to partner together collaboratively on developing artificial intelligence and assistive technology to compensate for cognitive deficits in affected people. They also work together with front line staff and volunteers to provide research-informed care and education.

Translational research

A range of translational research will be undertaken such as:

  • CaptureLive, which will develop the use of Artificial Intelligence in Risk Management to provide 24/7 monitoring to prevent falls, provide alerts and analyse the resident’s movement to detect health problems early.

  • Verily Connect, an online peer support program.

  • Dementia and Memory Support (DAMS) quality improvement model.

  • Dementia Dynamics, a range of resources for supporting sustainable, evidence-based, quality dementia care.

  • Dementia Care Pathway in Greater Bendigo.
