Verily Connect
Concept
Heathcote Dementia Alliance has been invited by La Trobe University to partner with them in implementing the Verily Connect program. Verily Connect is a place for carers to connect online and support each other in a Dementia-friendly community. They can connect with each other and access information about dementia, looking after themselves, and available services. The project is also part of our Caring for the Carer strategy.

Three strategies trialled for the Verily Connect program include:
A 'technology learning hub' in each community staffed by volunteers who have been trained to help carers use online technology.
A website and mobile app (Verily Connect) provides information and connects carers to each other and service providers.
Carer peer support groups that meet by video conference.
